When I Grow Up...

I'm gonna be a teacher.
Sounds like a whatever job, but it's so much more than that.
A teacher has students for a year of their lives.
All. Day!
The kids realy get to know you, and look up to you.
A kids future is determined by how they were raised.
I will have thirty influences a year, not including other teachers.
I'm raising up children to be like Christ.
Though I can't speak the name of Jesus, I can sure as heck act like Him!
Children seeing the love of God they might not be getting and seeing at home,

shows them that they ARE loved, they ARE cared for.
I will not let a single child slip through my fingers.
EVERY SINGLE CHILD EVER BORN was born for a reason.
And by the time the year is over, they will have no doubt about it.

These kids are going to be our next presidents, Bill Gates', even plumbers!
They need to be treated like they are that important to us.

Kids understand more than we know.
We really need to raise up a generation that is passionate for God.
My generation is falling farther and farther from God.
I WILL NOT watch that happen to this next generation.

Seeing God Through This Election...

Obama Bidden is the new President of The United States.
Why?
Yes, because he was voted into office.
But also because God has a plan.
Some people were overjoyed that he was voted into
this position.
Others?
Not so much.
I've heard some people even remark that they think
he's the Anti-Christ.
My opinion?
Even if that's true, the Lord put Him into office not to
torture those who were hoping for McCain, rather
to use Obama for His will.
Whether that's to bring our Nation to a better place,
or to bring us to the second coming of Christ,
I will not have fear, for God has a plan!
I for one, and very tired of hearing people complain

about the election even still.
Obama has won, so can we please move on?
Ha ha. That's pretty much all I have to say.
So whether you were voting for McCain or Obama, trust
in God, and let His will be done!!!

Self-Confidence BOOST!!!!

Remember that no one is perfect. --
Even the most confident people have insecurities. At some point in any of our lives, we may feel we lack something. That is reality. Learn that life is full of bumps down the road.Be thankful for what u have.Be positive even if you don't feel positive.
Avoid self-pity, or the pity and sympathy of others. --
Never allow others to make you feel inferior--they can only do so if you let them.speak positively about yourself, about your future, and about your progress. Do not be afraid to project your strengths and qualities to others.
Look in the Mirror and SMILE!--
looking in the mirror and smiling every day, you might feel happier with yourself and more confident in the long run.Stop worrying. What worries you today will be forgotten by you and people around you tomorrow. Can you remember what you were so worried about the same day the same time last week? If not, then you should not worry right now. You will not worry about it even one week from now.
Turn feelings of envy or jealousy into a desire to achieve.--
Stop wanting what others have just because they have it; seek things simply because you want them, whether anybody else has them or not. Try to make yourself talk positively at all times. When you hear yourself saying you can't do something, stop and say you can. Unless you try, you will never know whether you are able to or not.

Give Me Your Eyes

Give Me Your Eyes
Brandon Heath

Looked down from a broken sky
Traced out by the city lights
My world from a mile high
Best seat in the house tonight
Touched down on the cold black tile
Hold on for the sudden stop
Breathe in the familiar shock
Of confusion and chaos
All those people going somewhere?
Why have I never cared?
Chorus:
Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me your love for humanity
Give me your arms for the broken hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach?
Give me your heart for the ones forgotten
Give me your eyes so I can see again again

Step out on a busy street
See a girl and our eyes meet
Does her best to smile at me
To hide whats underneath
Theres a man just to her right
Black suit and a bright red tie
To ashamed to tell his wife He's out of work
He's buying time
Are those people going somewhere?
Why have I never cared?

Chorus

Ive Been there a million times
A couple of million eyes
Just moving past me by
I swear
I never thought that I was wrong
Well I want a second glance
So give me a second chance
To see the way you see the people all alone
Chorus (x2)

---------------------------------------------
This song really got me thinking. I don't really know how to explain to you what this song meant to me, but think about the words. How much better would this world be if we saw things through God's eyes? If we had His heart? I think there would be 10x less murder, hatred and such in the world. I think we all need to pray for God to give us His heart, and His eyes. God can see through our fisades. If we looked close enough, I believe we can too. And we can reach out to those who are hurting deeply, and hiding their pain from the world.

Changing Our Selfish Generation

When I think of this generation, one word comes to mind.
Selfish.
I was telling one of my friends about my thoughts, and if I do say so myself, I made a pretty good point. Lol. I think we ALL do this. You walk into the kitchen, open the fridge, then sigh. Open the freezer, then groan. Look in the pantry, then start complaining because you have NO FOOD!!!
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAH RIGHT!!!
We are BLESSED to have flour, eggs, milk, chips, all of that. Half of our generation is selling themselves, just so they can have money for food. Clothes aren't even a priority for them! We go through our closets and declare we have nothing to wear. Think about the kids in Africa. (I hate when my mom makes that comparison , but she has a good point.) They wear those little cloth things around them, and are thankful that they have that!! Most of us teens were Aeropostle, American Eagle, Hollister and so on, and if you really think about the price tag on some of those things...WHOA!!! People around the world would be SOOOOOOO utterly thankful to have that much money, just to spend on their families. We should be thankful for what we have. Everybodys heard that one before, but truly think about it. We have clothes, houses, food, cars, computers, cell phones, and even then some of us have money to spare. But what do most teens in Africa have?? Brothers and sisters they have to provide for, dirty water for drinking, barely any food, only one "outfit" if it can even be called that. We are SOOOO blessed to be born in America. And I think on some level, every person living here takes it for granted. I know I do! Think of all you have. If like Job, you lost it, we would be SO utterly crushed. Having NOTHING?! Can you even imagine?! Since I'm moving, it's really got me thinking on how much I've taken for granted everything being the same. No change. I go to church on Sundays and Wednesdays, I do my school work, I live a pretty happy life, but what happens when everything changes? For kids in Africa, tomorrow isn't a guarantee. To us, we anticipate waking up tomorrow, and going on with our lives. We as a whole need to DO something to change this mind set we've created! I don't want to wake up tomorrow, and wonder what I'm doing the next day. I want to wake up, and thank God that He's given me another day to live. Another day to further His Kingdom. I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE WHAT I HAVE FOR GRANTED ANY LONGER!!

Another thing that's strong on my mind, is something one of my friends said. (side note: I'm not at all bashing on you or what you said. I'm just stating my opinion.) this individual said "I'm not trying to save the world with my blog..." and the conversation continued. I want to be different. When we were younger, we looked up to superhero's for what reason? Not just for their superpowers, but because they were changing and saving the world! If a man who was just a carpenters son, was born of a virgin so he could save the world, why can't I? Well guess what. I CAN!!! I CAN save the world!! It's falling more and more everyday, and why is nobody trying hard enough to catch it?! I will die trying to save my generation from being brutally tortured, and burning in hell for eternity, because nobody told them about the Lord. My goal is to save the world, by first helping those, who can't help themselves. Little children aren't born with a knowing of God. We have to be the ones to teach them, and lead them on the path to eternity spent with God!
